Eagle Cement – Philippines EST+EEC

In 2017 we installed a combined Elgressy EST and EEC system at Eagle Cement in the Philippines to remove both calcium and silica from the cooling water.

Why two technologies?

• EST (Electrolysis Scale Treatment) removes calcium hardness as solid scale, preventing scale in the cooling system.
• EEC (Electrocoagulation) removes silica and suspended solids, which limit how far the water can be concentrated.

Together they let the plant run its cooling water at higher cycles of concentration without scale, using less make-up water and no treatment chemicals.
