Philippines Pilot project
We ran a pilot project in the Philippines to test Elgressy EEC (electrocoagulation) for silica removal and wastewater treatment.
Why silica matters
Silica is often the limit on how far cooling water can be concentrated. Above a certain level it forms a hard glassy scale that is very difficult to remove. EEC removes silica and suspended solids electrochemically, without coagulant chemicals, so the water can be reused or the cooling tower can run at higher cycles.
The same approach is used at Eagle Cement in the Philippines, where EEC works together with EST, and was tested for Nestle in Thailand.
